The German government wants to support start-ups with additional financial aid in the corona crisis. Finance Minister Olaf Scholz and Economics Minister Peter Altmaier announced that they would provide a total of two billion euros for this purpose.
However, the state will only make funds available if private investors also participate at the same time. The state can subsidize a maximum share of up to 70 percent. Neither the amount nor the duration of the support is capped. Applications can be made with immediate effect.
